Job Description

Sierra Electronics has provided communications solutions to public safety agencies, mines, casinos, and warehouses in northern Nevada and northeastern California since 1964. We staff an infrastructure team with an advanced project engineer, highly qualified field technicians, emergency equipment vehicle installers, and supportive administration to help make you a success. Our long history includes many long-time employees who continually expand their expertise with the evolution of technology.

We have an immediate opening for an outside Sales Account Executive based in our Sparks office to obtain new customers and reactivate dormant accounts with sales of two-way radio systems and related equipment and services. This position will focus on bringing in new IT based radio sales. We will give you the tools to become an expert in your field, including online courses, on-the-job training, and ongoing support from other team members. Computer, mobile phone, and other resources such as demo equipment provided. Cold-calling is required, and at times you will work in partnership with other sales reps.

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Moderate computer skills to include emailing with attachments, quoting software, and client database
Experience in selling IT based technology
Professional demeanor
Excellent attendance
Minimum High School education
Two years of sales experience

We offer a base salary plus commission, and generous benefits for a long-term commitment. After a 60-day probationary period, we sponsor medical premiums for the employee only; dependent coverage is paid by the employee through payroll deduction, as well as optional dental, vision, and supplemental insurance. After one year of employment we offer paid holidays, annual paid vacation, and a matching retirement plan.
