1. Employment Type: This is a full-time W-2 employee position with a base salary and uncapped commission. Eligible employees may participate in the company’s benefits programs, subject to company policies and applicable eligibility requirements.

2. On-Site Engagement: This is not a remote or digital outreach role. You will be expected to conduct daily, in-person visits to wet labs, engaging directly with PhDs and Principal Investigators (PIs) at local universities and research institutions in Chicago.

3. Location Requirement: Success in this role requires a consistent local presence. This position is only suitable for candidates currently based in the Chicago area. If your daily commute exceeds 1.5 hours, this role may not be the best fit.

4. High-Intensity Performance: This is a demanding, high-activity position. Top-performing representatives typically achieve 15–20 high-quality client interactions per day, which requires a total daily visit volume of 20+ clients.

5. Data Discipline: You are required to update all client interactions and insights in our CRM system daily. A Senior Manager will review these records to provide personalized feedback and strategic suggestions for your territory’s growth.

Compensation & Earnings

We offer a competitive compensation structure designed to reward high-activity field sales:

Base Salary: $4,000 per month
Commission: 5% uncapped commission on all sales revenue generated within your assigned territory.
Total Earnings: Monthly Total = $4,000 + 5% Commission.

As a Field Sales Representative for Selleck Chemicals, you will be the face of our brand within the elite scientific community of Chicago. Instead of sitting behind a desk, you will be on the ground, navigating the hallways of top-tier research hubs.

Territory Mastery: Explore and manage a designated territory within Chicago, identifying key labs and research projects.
Relationship Building: Transition from "cold visiting" to becoming a trusted resource for scientists by understanding their experimental timelines and funding cycles.
Strategic Intelligence: Gather insights from lab managers, post-docs, and PIs to build a full picture of the lab's upcoming needs.
Consistent Growth: Use the CRM to track your progress and work with a Senior Manager to refine your sales approach based on daily field data.

Success in this territory requires a deep local presence. Are you currently based in the Chicago area with a daily commute of less than 1.5 hours to major research hubs?
This is a high-intensity role. Top performers conduct 20+ client visits per day to achieve 15-20 high-quality interactions. Are you comfortable with this level of physical activity and high-volume outreach?
You will be required to log all client insights and progress into our CRM system daily for coaching and performance tracking. Are you comfortable with this daily reporting requirement?
This role requires daily, in-person visits to wet labs (universities/research centers) to engage with PhDs and PIs. It is NOT a remote, email-based, or office job. Do you confirm you are willing and able to perform field sales on-site every day?
