Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support our organization’s financial health by performing precise reconciliations, and managing various accounting systems. Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliation using accounting software such as QuickBooks
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently
Maintain compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant accounting standards
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
Prepare financial reports, assist with budgeting processes, and support month-end closing procedures
Utilize spreadsheets for data analysis, reporting, and tracking financial transactions

Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or comparable systems
Solid knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
Experience managing accounts payable/receivable processes
Familiarity with GAAP standards and technical accounting practices
Strong skills in spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting purposes
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform general ledger reconciliation accurately
