Full Job Description

Job Title: Patient Services Representative – Outpatient Clinic

Location: San Francisco, CA 94114 (Onsite)

Duration: 2 Months Contract

Work Setting: Outpatient Flu & TB Clinic

Equipment: Sutter provides all necessary equipment

Available Shifts:

Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and

Monday–Friday | 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Services Representative to support front-office operations in a busy outpatient Flu & TB clinic. This role is responsible for patient registration, check-in, demographic verification, documentation review, and delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring accurate and confidential patient records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and provide a positive check-in experience.
Register patients and verify demographic information.
Review and validate required patient documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Communicate registration requirements and processes clearly to patients.
Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient records.
Manage multiple administrative tasks while supporting efficient patient flow.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve registration issues and ensure smooth clinic operations.

Required Qualifications

Experience with front-office administrative processes and patient registration.
Experience performing patient check-in and demographic verification.
Strong customer service experience in a patient-facing or public-facing environment.
Ability to accurately verify documentation and maintain attention to detail.
Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems or similar patient registration platforms.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Understanding of patient confidentiality and accurate record management.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in an outpatient clinic or ambulatory care setting.
Experience supporting Flu, TB, vaccination, or seasonal health clinics.
Familiarity with healthcare registration workflows.
Experience handling high-volume patient check-in.

Pay: Up to $24.00 per hour
