Full Job Description

NOW HIRING: KITCHEN MANAGER / CHEF
New Diner Concept | Downtown Ocala, FL

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager / Chef to join the opening team of an exciting new diner concept in Downtown Ocala.

Salary: $50,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience.

The ideal candidate is a strong kitchen leader who understands both the culinary and business sides of a successful high-volume operation.

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3–5 years of Kitchen Manager/Chef management experience
High-volume restaurant experience
Strong purchasing and vendor management skills
Food cost and cost-control knowledge
Inventory management and organization
Excellent knife skills
Strong background in scratch cooking and food preparation
Ability to maintain a clean, organized and sanitary kitchen
Experience developing and maintaining an efficient kitchen workflow
Ability to lead, train and hold a kitchen team accountable
Strong understanding of proper food handling, storage and sanitation
ServSafe Manager Certification required

We are looking for someone who isn't afraid to work alongside their team and understands that a well-run kitchen starts with organization, consistency, cleanliness and strong leadership.

This is an opportunity to become an important part of a brand-new concept from the ground up and help establish the standards, systems and culture of the kitchen.
