Brasa is seeking a dynamic and passionate Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team! In this energetic role, you will be instrumental in supporting the head chef and managing daily kitchen operations to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your leadership, culinary expertise, and dedication to food safety will ensure our kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently, and creatively. Duties

Assist in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure top-quality dishes are delivered consistently.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellence and continuous improvement.
Manage inventory control and food management procedures, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas.
Coordinate with the catering and banquet teams to support large-scale events, ensuring timely and flawless service.
Support menu planning efforts by contributing creative ideas that align with culinary trends and guest preferences.
Oversee shift management, including staffing schedules, training new team members, and maintaining smooth daily operations.

Skills

Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong culinary skills in food production and food handling.
Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen teams effectively while promoting a positive work environment.
Extensive banquet experience with the ability to oversee catering events from start to finish.
Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary restrictions for diverse guest needs.
Expertise in inventory management, cost control, and kitchen management practices.
Strong understanding of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and proper food service management techniques.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage shifts efficiently, and uphold high standards of hospitality and service excellence.
