Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team at our Wall township location! Our Paralegal position requires a significant amount of client contact.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Assist and provide a range of legal support and administration to attorneys.
Answer all office telephone calls (client/opposing party/3rd party interaction).
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on debt restructuring laws, regulations, and best practices.
Prepare legal documents, including debt restructuring agreements, contracts, and settlement proposals.
Assist attorneys in drafting legal correspondence and pleadings related to client cases.

Communicate and liaise with clients, creditors, and legal partners to ensure smooth case progression and timely resolution.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and case details in our database.
Monitor and track the status of debt restructuring cases and keep all stakeholders informed of developments.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Stay informed about industry trends, changes in debt restructuring laws, and updates on creditor practices.
Collaborate with the legal team to improve internal processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Perform administrative duties (build and maintain database [data entry] and client files).

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (any field), Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, OR Paralegal Certificate highly preferred
Prior experience working and supporting attorney(s) at a law firm (at least 1-2 years)
Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel (Required)
Proficient in legal research tools and database management
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Empathetic and professional demeanor with the ability to handle sensitive client matters
