Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager/Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role combines leadership with hands-on sales expertise, providing an exciting opportunity to influence store operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive sales growth. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for managing daily store functions, supervising staff, and delivering exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will help foster a positive shopping environment and ensure operational excellence.

Duties

Lead and supervise retail sales team members, providing guidance, training, and motivation to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee orientation to build a high-performing team
Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising, and product knowledge to maximize sales opportunities
Manage store operations including cash handling, cashiering, POS system transactions, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and integrity
Coordinate purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to enhance store profitability
Conduct shift management duties such as scheduling staff, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies
Utilize strong communication skills to facilitate managerial communication across teams and ensure smooth operational flow

Experience

Proven management experience in retail or sales environments with supervisory responsibilities in store management or assistant manager roles
Extensive retail sales experience with a focus on customer service excellence and sales management techniques
Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, inventory control, merchandising, and operational management
Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff, along with team management skills
Knowledge of retail math including budgeting, pricing strategies, and sales analysis
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
Strong organizational skills combined with effective time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
