Build a private practice that fits your goals with experienced support behind it.

This opportunity is for independently licensed Wisconsin therapists and psychologists who want the autonomy of private practice along with professional office space and an experienced support team.

Great Lakes Psychology Group (GLPG) is a clinician-founded behavioral health organization that has helped therapists build and sustain independent practices since 2011. At our Waukesha location, you can see clients in person, provide telehealth services, or create a hybrid practice that works for you.

Requirements

Active, unrestricted Wisconsin license as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist
Master’s or doctoral degree in an applicable behavioral health field
Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Current professional liability insurance
Ability to provide independent outpatient behavioral health services within the scope of your license

What you can expect

A schedule and caseload you control: Choose when you work, the clients you accept, and how many GLPG clients you see. There is no minimum caseload.
Flexible practice options: See clients in person at our Waukesha office, provide telehealth services, or combine both.
Active referral and marketing support: Build visibility and connect with prospective clients whose needs align with your experience and areas of focus.
Scheduling support from real people: Our team can help prospective and current clients navigate scheduling, not simply provide access to scheduling software.
Administrative infrastructure: GLPG supports credentialing, payer enrollment, billing, and claims management.
Integrated clinical tools: Use a streamlined EHR, secure telehealth, scheduling, documentation, and practice-management tools in one connected system.
Dedicated practice support: A Provider Success contact is available to help you navigate questions and make thoughtful decisions as your practice develops.
Professional connection: Access optional clinician community and consultation opportunities while retaining your independent clinical judgment.

Already have an established practice? You are welcome to bring existing clients and use GLPG’s services to support the practice you have built. Starting something new? Our experienced teams can help you establish the operational foundation and visibility needed to grow sustainably.

Your independent practice

As an independent clinician, you will:

Exercise independent clinical judgment and determine your therapeutic approach
Choose and manage your schedule, availability, and caseload
Provide ethical, evidence-informed outpatient care within your scope of practice
Complete clinical documentation and other professional responsibilities in accordance with applicable standards
Maintain all licenses, credentials, insurance, and professional requirements needed to practice

Compensation and contract arrangement

Expected clinician earnings: Typically $75–$100 per completed standard session
Contract type: 1099 independent contractor
Caseload: No minimum
Schedule: Set by you
Practice format: In-person, telehealth, or hybrid

Actual per-session earnings vary based on factors such as license type, service provided, payer reimbursement, and applicable contract terms. This is not a guaranteed hourly wage or employee salary. Complete compensation terms are reviewed before contracting.
