Full Job Description

Bella Gusto Italian Deli & Pizzeria is a fast-casual restaurant located at 29 S. Main Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066. You must be able to and willing to commute to Oconomowoc for this position.

We are seeking a skilled, experienced, and motivated Line Cook to join our team in the kitchen at Bella Gusto Italian Deli & Pizzeria. As a Cook in our kitchen, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant and catering services. If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Duties:

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards

- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area

- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow

- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation

- Willing to assist with dishwashing when necessary

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant or catering setting is preferred. Experience with pizza is a bonus!

- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods

- Familiarity with meal preparation

- Ability to handle food safely, including proper storage, handling, and labeling

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately

We offer competitive pay rates based on experience and position ranging from $16-$22 an hour based on experience. Our business operation is from Tuesday - Saturday, and cooks are not expected to work any hours on Sundays and Mondays. We are primarily seeking cooks to work on nights and weekends (Friday/Saturday).

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
