Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team at a 5‑star skilled nursing facility serving up to 90 residents. The Dietary Aide supports meal service operations and helps ensure residents receive nutritious, appealing meals in a clean, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and meal service
Serve meals to residents in a courteous, respectful manner
Follow resident diet orders and portion guidelines
Ensure timely delivery and collection of meal trays
Assist residents as needed while maintaining dignity and safety
Maintain cleanliness of dining room, kitchen, and dishwashing areas
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
Assist with special events and holiday meals as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

Ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
Compassionate attitude toward seniors
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–40 lbs

Preferred:

Dietary or food service experience (healthcare or long‑term care preferred)
Knowledge of therapeutic or modified diets
Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
