What You'll Do

As an EFDA, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting clinical excellence throughout the practice.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout their visit
Assist the doctor during examinations and procedures
Perform expanded functions permitted under Ohio EFDA regulations
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative instructions to patients
Take and process dental radiographs as needed
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are properly sterilized and stocked
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Adhere to infection control protocols, OSHA standards, and HIPAA regulations
Contribute to a positive, efficient, and patient-focused office environment

Qualifications

Active Ohio Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) License
Previous EFDA experience required
Current CPR certification
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, materials, and sterilization protocols
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Positive attitude and strong team mentality
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
Passion for delivering outstanding patient care
