Event & Creative Services Manager
HNS Sports Group is an event management, hospitality management and sponsorship representative company which primarily, but not exclusively, operates within the professional, charity and corporate golf event and sponsorship industry.
The Event & Creative Services Manager position is defined as full-time employment within HNS Sports Group assigned to support the creative development and management of various client event programs throughout the calendar year that include components related to but not limited to: Creative Queue Management, Agency Relations, Event Planning and Operations and Guest Experience. HNS’ Event & Creative Services Manager will report to HNS’ Director of Marketing and Community Relations and will be supported by various HNS staff members depending on the assigned project.
Key Responsibilities - Event & Creative Services Manager
Creative Services Management
Creative services management related to assigned tournaments & events throughout the calendar year:
- Events assigned per calendar year
- Events could include involvement with / management of foundation fundraisers, pairings party, benefit concerts, fan experiences or sponsoring special events
Assignments will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate with ad buying agency to establish media plans for the tournament creative need & to ensure proper tracking
- Collaborate with designers & agency partners to successfully manage creative queue and meet established deadlines (digital, video, print, etc.)
- Ensure brand guidelines are followed per event
- Assist with grassroots campaign implementation
- Assist with sponsor co-branding implementation
- Assist with proofing throughout creative process
- Facilitate reciprocal trade paperwork with advertising outlets and partners
Special Event Planning & Management
Contribute to and management of special events and programs aligned with professional, amateur and corporate tournaments & events throughout the calendar year:
- Events assigned per calendar year
- Events could include fundraisers, pairings party, benefit concerts, fan experiences or sponsoring special events
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Lead acquirement and contracting of venue proposals
- Manage and implement vendor contracts
- Establish and maintain successful vendor/partner relationships
- Ideate and implement guest experiences
- Create event space layouts with venues and vendors
- Develop and implement food and beverage experiences with vendors
- Develop and implement audio/visual operations with vendors
- Develop and implement décor plans with vendors
- Lead assessment and planning of operational needs such as, but not limited to: transportation, parking, security and signage
- Establish and implement run of show timelines
- Lead communication and coordination with contracted talent
- Collaborate with internal and external teams for planning and operation of guest management
- Assist with development of event scripting
- Manage established budget to meet event’s financial obligations/expectations
General Responsibilities
- Contribute daily with suggestions and recommendations to the Managing Partner, COO, SVP, Marketing and Advertising and HNS staff to ensure each event operates successfully
- Work to comply with all standards set forth by the client for each project
- Support other HNS Sports Groups projects throughout the year as requested
- Maintain and uphold the HNS brand
Required Skills and Knowledge- Event & Creative Services Manager
Critical Skills
- Four-year degree required with concentration in sports management or marketing preferred.
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience with proven track record in marketing and event industry.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills including ability to actively listen and contribute feedback to discussions
- Ability to write and proofread promotional and/or event scripting
- Working knowledge of advertising industry and tracking tools
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Creative Suite
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills leading to resolve
- Commitment to teamwork and collaboration with a positive attitude
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task
- Dedicated work ethic with ability to adapt
- Ability to travel (25%)
