Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated DSPs (Direct Support Professionals) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives while promoting their independence.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health and safety, and fostering a supportive environment that encourages personal growth.

Currently, we are in need of DSPs for both full and part-time positions.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
Starting pay: $16.85 per hour
Full & part-time positions

DSP Responsibilities:

Our Support Associates (DSPs) are responsible for providing supervision, support and assistance to individuals as prescribed within the Individual Service Plan/Individual Program Plan to increase independence and quality of life.

Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism in various settings.
Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
Monitor patient health and safety, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
Support individuals in personal care tasks, including hygiene and grooming.
Facilitate communication between clients and their families or caregivers.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and daily activities.
Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.

Position Requirements and Skills:

Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required for the DSP position. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Current valid driver’s license and automobile insurance meeting Ohio’s minimum standards. Ability to maintain CPR and First Aid certification.

Strong skills in patient monitoring and home health care practices.
Ability to prepare nutritious meals while considering dietary restrictions.
Knowledge of memory care techniques to assist clients with cognitive challenges.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
