Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, particularly in the preparation and presentation of sushi. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, with precision and artistry.
Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met in accordance with local health regulations.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain inventory of sushi ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality at all times.
Assist in meal preparation for catering events as needed.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food handling best practices.
Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to culinary standards.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Experience as a dietary aide or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
Proficient in kitchen operations with hands-on experience in food handling and preparation.
Ability to create innovative menu items that showcase culinary creativity.
Experience in catering services is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for fine dining and delivering outstanding customer service.
