About the Role:

The Front Office Scheduler plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Kidney Specialists of Central Oklahoma by managing patient appointments and coordinating schedules for healthcare providers. This position is responsible for optimizing the patient flow, which directly impacts the quality of care and patient satisfaction. The Scheduler will work closely with both patients and medical staff to facilitate effective communication and address any scheduling conflicts that may arise. By maintaining accurate records and utilizing scheduling software, the Scheduler will contribute to the overall efficiency of the front office operations. Ultimately, this role is vital in creating a welcoming environment for patients while supporting the clinical team in delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in a scheduling or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
Customer service experience in a medical or clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring optimal scheduling for both patients and healthcare providers.
Communicate effectively with patients to confirm appointments, provide necessary information, and address any inquiries or concerns.
Utilize scheduling software to maintain accurate records of appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure that all necessary resources and information are available for patient visits.
Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in patient needs or provider availability.
