Job Description

Welsch Ready Mix, located in Oak Forest, IL is celebrating over 100 years in the concrete industry and is currently seeking an ambitious, dependable Dispatcher to join our team.

As part of our Dispatch Team, you will be responsible for answering incoming calls, scheduling deliveries and drivers, processing credit card payments, and maintaining communication with our Drivers via Digital Fleet. Prior experience in the concrete and/or construction industry is preferred, but not required.

Job Specifications Include:

Multitask - answering phone calls, entering orders, referencing graphs and maps. Take customer's orders with precise accuracy while maintaining high call volume.
Work with our team of dispatchers to provide a great work atmosphere.
Develop close working relationships with our customers so that you can understand their every need.
Communicate with the Sales Department, Plant Operators, Quality Control, and Customers to ensure customer satisfaction and prompt delivery of a quality product.
Enter and schedule orders into our Dispatch system to maximize truck efficiency.
Create daily schedules for Drivers and Plant Operators.

Required Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year dispatch knowledge and experience in the concrete and building materials industry is preferred, but not required.
High level of computer literacy and proficient in Windows/Excel.
Must have excellent telephone, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Must be proficient in English. Spanish proficiency also a plus.
Able to respond to high call volume in a fast-paced dispatch office environment.
Involves sitting for most of the time but also brief periods of time standing and walking.
Able to work Monday-Saturday for extended hours when necessary.
