Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist – Couples Counseling Focus

Truth & Restoration Counseling | Omaha, NE
Location: 132nd & Center
Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Caseload: Full-time availability preferred

Truth & Restoration Counseling is a growing Christian counseling practice located near 132nd & Center in Omaha. We are seeking a licensed mental health therapist who is experienced, clinically grounded, and passionate about working with couples.

This position is a strong fit for a therapist who values meaningful clinical work, professional independence, healthy team culture, and a faith-informed counseling environment. We are looking for someone who can provide excellent care to clients while working collaboratively within a supportive practice.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience working with couples and a genuine passion for helping clients navigate communication struggles, conflict, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, relationship stress, and other relational challenges.

While couples counseling experience is especially important, the therapist may also have the opportunity to work with individuals, families, or other populations depending on their clinical strengths and availability.

We are looking for a therapist who:

Has experience and passion for couples counseling
Aligns with the Christian values and culture of Truth & Restoration Counseling

Demonstrates humility, professionalism, and emotional maturity

Is dependable, ethical, and clinically responsible
Takes ownership of documentation, scheduling consistency, and client care
Desires to be part of a growing and healthy team environment

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

Provide high-quality mental health counseling to couples and individuals
Assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Help couples improve communication, rebuild trust, manage conflict, and strengthen connection
Maintain accurate, timely, HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation
Utilize evidence-based and clinically appropriate interventions
Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and referral sources
Maintain ethical boundaries and follow all applicable state and professional standards
Participate in practice culture in a way that reflects professionalism, respect, and care

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have:

Active Nebraska mental health license, such as LMHP, LIMHP, LIMHP-S, or equivalent
Experience providing couples counseling
Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
Ability to maintain a consistent caseload
A compassionate, ethical, and client-centered approach
Willingness to work within a Christian counseling practice environment

Preferred but not required:

Training or experience with couples counseling models such as Gottman Method, EFT, Prepare/Enrich, or similar approaches
Experience working with relational trauma, infidelity, communication issues, premarital counseling, or marital conflict
Evening availability

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Compensation is percentage-based and discussed during the interview process.
