Front Office Receptionist – Veterinary Practice

Job Summary

Valley Veterinary Associates is seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Front Office Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming experience while helping our hospital run efficiently.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people and animals, is comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and has strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Answer and direct incoming phone calls
Schedule appointments and manage the daily appointment calendar
Welcome clients and their pets with professionalism and compassion
Check patients in and out for appointments
Process payments and handle client billing
Maintain accurate client and patient records
Communicate with veterinarians and technicians regarding appointments and client needs
Respond to client questions and provide general information about services
Assist with administrative tasks and help keep the front office organized
Support the veterinary team with other duties as needed

Qualifications

Previous front office, receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
Veterinary or animal care experience is a plus but not required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
Comfortable working with computers and learning veterinary practice software
A genuine compassion for animals and the people who care for them
