Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s incoming payments, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

Process and monitor accounts receivable transactions using accounting software such as CDK or similar systems.
Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of customer accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Manage the collection of outstanding payments through effective negotiation and professional phone etiquette.
Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including journal entries, debits & credits, and account analysis reports.
Collaborate with other departments on accounts payable, financial analysis, and month-end closing activities to ensure seamless financial operations.
Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and debits & credits.Familiarity with medical billing processes, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and healthcare terminology is a plus.
Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to analyze accounts receivable data and perform account analysis efficiently.
Exceptional negotiation skills combined with professional phone etiquette for effective collections efforts.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment in public accounting or governmental accounting settings.
