Job description:

Are you passionate about STEM and love working with kids?

Join our fun, hands-on after-school program, Tinker the Robot, where we make science and engineering come alive for elementary school students! At Tinker, you'll play a vital role in helping students experience hands-on STEM education. Your work behind the scenes directly supports teachers and classrooms, ensuring every learning experience is delivered successfully.

What You'll Do:

Teaching Schedule Coordination

Manage and maintain the teaching schedule
Coordinate instructor assignments across multiple sites.
Communicate schedule updates with teachers, school administrators, and internal staff.
Resolve scheduling conflicts and last-minute changes efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of classroom assignments and teaching calendars.

Inventory Management

Monitor inventory of educational materials and supplies.
Receive, organize, and store incoming inventory.
Pick, pack, and prepare teaching kits for delivery.
Conduct routine inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Maintain an organized warehouse environment.
Coordinate inventory replenishment with the operations team.

Logistics & Operations

Prepare materials for scheduled classroom sessions.
Coordinate with Tinker Team members for material handoff
Track outgoing inventory and returned materials.
Assist with quality control of education kits.
Support operational projects as needed.

Team Leadership & Operational Improvement

Conduct regular check-ins with team members to monitor progress, address challenges, and provide ongoing support.
Train and onboard new team members on operational processes, inventory procedures, and scheduling systems.
Plan and facilitate weekly team check-in meetings to review priorities, discuss upcoming activities, and ensure alignment across the team.
Prepare and submit a weekly operations report summarizing scheduling updates, inventory status, key accomplishments, outstanding issues, and recommended next steps.
Continuously evaluate workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline operations, and enhance the overall delivery of Tinker's programs.
Proactively recommend and help implement process improvements that support the company's growth and long-term operational success.

What You'll Do Every Day

Coordinate teacher schedules across sites.
Ensure STEM kits are assembled accurately and ready for delivery.
Maintain inventory accuracy.
Communicate with teachers and school staff.
Keep warehouse operations running efficiently.
Solve logistical challenges before they become problems.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, inventory management, scheduling, or administrative coordination.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Comfortable working with spreadsheets and inventory management systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
A valid driver's license is preferred.

Preferred Experience

Inventory or warehouse operations.
School scheduling or education administration.
Logistics or supply chain coordination.
Experience using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
Experience with inventory management software.
