Full Job Description

Everest Senior Living Management is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Executive Director to lead one of our premier assisted living and memory care communities in Tustin, California.

Our beautiful community features a capacity of up to 100 residents, providing Assisted Living and Memory Care services. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care while building a high-performing team and driving operational excellence.

Job Summary

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall operation, leadership, and financial performance of the community. This individual will oversee all departments, ensure compliance with California RCFE regulations, cultivate a positive workplace culture, and deliver an exceptional experience for residents and their families.

The Executive Director is accountable for occupancy growth, resident satisfaction, financial performance, regulatory compliance, team development, and maintaining the highest standards of quality care.

Duties

Provide strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality assisted living and memory care services aligned with organizational goals.
Oversee daily operations, including staffing, resident care, financial management, and regulatory compliance.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other cognitive impairments.
Supervise staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and foster a positive team culture focused on compassionate care.
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local health regulations related to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities.
Manage budgets, control expenses, and oversee healthcare financial management to ensure operational sustainability.
Cultivate strong relationships with residents’ families and the community to promote engagement and satisfaction.
Lead efforts in medication administration oversight and ensure safety protocols are rigorously followed.
Stay informed of industry best practices in senior care, home & community care services, and long-term care regulations to continuously improve service quality.

Skills

Extensive experience in assisted living settings with a solid understanding of operations and administration.
Proven leadership skills with supervisory experience managing diverse teams in healthcare or senior living environments.
Deep knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care strategies, and developing effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
Familiarity with Title 22, health regulation policies governing long-term care facilities and compliance requirements.
Strong financial and business understanding including healthcare financial management, budgeting, and operational oversight.
Drive the financial performance of the community by increasing occupancy, maximizing census, growing Net Operating Income (NOI), optimizing labor and operating expenses, and ensuring the community consistently achieves or exceeds established budget and financial performance goals.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or complex medical conditions within senior or group home settings.
Excellent communication skills for engaging residents’ families, staff members, and external stakeholders effectively.
Ability to navigate regulatory environments confidently while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in resident care standards.

Qualifications
Required

Current California RCFE Administrator Certification in good standing.
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, RCFE, Skilled Nursing, or related senior housing.
Demonstrated experience managing community operations, staffing, and financial performance.
Strong knowledge of California RCFE regulations and Title 22 requirements.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
Ability to successfully pass background clearance, physical examination, and TB testing.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Gerontology, or related field.
Experience overseeing Assisted Living and Memory Care communities.
Proven success improving occupancy, resident satisfaction, and operational performance.
Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and labor management.
