Beyond core administration, this role is essential in maintaining and optimizing the integrations between Salesforce and our mission-critical SaaS stack (Slack Enterprise Grid, Google Workspace, DocuSign, RingCentral). You will act as the operational bridge between technical development and business execution, ensuring our team has a seamless, integrated, and secure digital workspace.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Ecosystem & SaaS Integration
-
Declarative Administration & Governance: Manage and optimize the core Salesforce engine, including Permission Sets/Groups, User Access Rules, Sharing Rules, and Profiles. Own and evolve the declarative layer of Salesforce, including Flow automation, user access configuration, and UI customization. Define and maintain platform-wide configuration standards to ensure consistency, scalability, and long-term maintainability of the Salesforce environment while ensuring all configurations adhere to established platform standards and best practices.
-
Standards & Naming Conventions: Establish and enforce naming conventions across permission sets, flows, automation, reports, and other metadata. Act as a steward of platform consistency, reducing duplication and ensuring a cohesive user and system experience.
-
Scalable Access Control: Design and manage a scalable access control model, leveraging Permission Sets and Permission Set Groups to align user access with functional roles.
-
Cross-Platform Integration: Collaborate with the IT Systems Administration team to maintain, support, and capitalize on integrations between Salesforce and key tools (Slack Enterprise Grid, Gmail/Google Workspace, DocuSign, RingCentral, Asana, etc.). Partner with engineering and systems teams to ensure all configuration aligns with broader platform architecture and integration patterns.
-
Workflow & Platform Optimization: Build and refine Flow automations, Service/Messaging routing, and Quick Actions to ensure Salesforce acts as a unified hub for all business communications. Proactively identify and remediate configuration inconsistencies, redundant automation, and opportunities for simplification.
-
User Experience Consistency: Partner with departmental stakeholders to refine Page Layouts and Lightning Pages, ensuring the interface is tailored to specific user-group workflows. Maintain consistency across user experience components, including Lightning Pages, Page Layouts, and record-level interactions.
Helpdesk Leadership & Operational Oversight
-
Support Management: Supervise the intake, routing, and resolution of all support tickets. Lead the operational transition from Asana tasks to Salesforce Cases.

-
Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the Platform Support Engineer, ensuring high-quality service and maintaining accountability for ticket resolution.
-
Assuming Oversight: Work alongside the current Data Analyst & Support Supervisor to take on full oversight of the help desk function within an initial onboarding period.
Release Awareness & Production Approval
-
Operational Gatekeeper & Readiness: While developers handle UAT and QA, maintain a high-level awareness of all inbound changes. Maintain awareness of upcoming system changes and ensure readiness from an operational and user adoption perspective.
-
Deployment Approval & Standards Review: Review changes for alignment with established configuration standards and user workflows. Review and provide final operational approval for work items moving from staging to production to ensure they align with user training and business logic.
-
Change Management & Rollout Support: Coordinate the internal communication of new features or system changes to ensure smooth adoption by the end-users. Support the successful rollout of new features through coordination, communication, and validation of end-user experience.
