Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Project Superintendent specializing in Public Works projects! In this vital role, you will lead and oversee the successful execution of complex infrastructure initiatives, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise in construction management, scheduling, and team leadership will drive project excellence from inception through completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on community development while working with cutting-edge construction management tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations on construction sites, coordinating all phases of public works projects.
Lead and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safety protocols and quality standards are strictly followed.
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
Review construction drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and blueprints to interpret project requirements accurately.
Oversee construction site safety compliance by enforcing federal construction safety regulations and OSHA standards.
Coordinate with project managers and clients to monitor project progress, budgets, and resource allocation; prepare reports on project status.
Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality control measures are implemented effectively.
Interpret contracts and manage change orders to minimize delays and cost overruns while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations.
Supervise the review of construction drawings for accuracy and clarity; manage the review process for technical schematics.
Ensure proper documentation of all site activities, safety incidents, inspections, and progress reports for transparency and accountability.

Skills

Extensive experience in construction management with a focus on public works projects.
Proven ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment; excellent supervisory skills with supervising experience preferred.
Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and managing construction drawing reviews.
Expertise in project scheduling techniques including construction schedule coordination; managing critical paths to meet deadlines.
Experience supervising multiple crews on large-scale public infrastructure projects; strong leadership in managing teams in a construction management role.
