Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and maintain accurate financial records, support accounting processes, and ensure compliance with financial standards. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for numbers, strong organizational skills, and a passion for supporting organizational success through precise bookkeeping. This position is perfect for someone looking to contribute to a vibrant organization while enjoying flexible working hours.

Duties

Record and maintain accurate financial transactions using QuickBooks Online accounting software and JobTread platforms
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
Prepare journal entries, conduct account analysis, and support double-entry bookkeeping practices in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements when needed
Generate financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and other relevant documentation
Support budgeting activities and provide detailed account analysis to aid in financial decision-making
Create JobTread and AIA 702 and 703 costumer invoices

Skills

Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other financial management tools
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and construction accounting standards
Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts including journal entries, account reconciliation, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting
Experience with bank reconciliation, account analysis, and financial report writing
Familiarity with payroll processing and tax experience related to bookkeeping functions
Ability to perform 10-key typing accurately and efficiently for data entry tasks
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
