Job Title: Restaurant Operations Manager

Reports To: General Manager
Position Summary

The Restaurant Operations Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while driving operational excellence, revenue performance, and team accountability. This role oversees daily front-of-house operations, guest satisfaction, service standards, and team leadership. The Restaurant Operations Manager ensures the venue operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with brand standards and company policies.

Core Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Standards

Champion a culture of hospitality and proactive guest engagement.
Resolve guest concerns quickly, professionally, and with sound judgment.
Monitor service flow to ensure speed, quality, and consistency.
Conduct regular floor presence during peak business periods.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation throughout the facility.
Ensure events, group bookings, and VIP experiences are executed flawlessly.

Operations Management

Oversee daily operations including opening, mid, and closing procedures.
Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety regulations, and company policies.
Monitor labor deployment and optimize staffing levels to meet business needs.
Coordinate across departments (kitchen, bar, etc. as applicable).
Conduct pre-shift meetings and ensure operational readiness.
Maintain equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance needs.

Financial Performance

Manage labor costs through effective scheduling and productivity management.
Drive revenue through upselling, promotions, and event execution.
Monitor daily sales, comps, voids, discounts, and cash handling procedures.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Ensure inventory controls and cost-of-goods targets are maintained (if applicable).

Team Leadership & Development

Hire, train, coach, and develop front-of-house team members.
Provide ongoing performance feedback and conduct performance reviews.
Hold team accountable to service standards and behavioral expectations.
Foster a positive, high-performance culture.
Lead by example in professionalism, urgency, and hospitality mindset.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
Maintain proper documentation for incidents and guest issues.
Enforce security and safety procedures to protect guests and staff.
Ensure all team members complete required certifications and training.

Qualifications

3–5 years of hospitality management experience
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Proven ability to manage high-volume service environments.
Financial acumen with understanding of labor management and cost controls.
Excellent conflict resolution and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
ServSafe and alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain).
