Dam Good® English Muffins, is a women-owned, family-operated, mission-driven brand located in Peekskill, NY that makes four varieties of square shaped sourdough English muffins!
Our brand name has a couple of different references:
1. We got our start nearby the New Croton Dam located in Cortlandt, NY,
2. We do Dam Good® in our community and the world at large,
3. We make Dam Good® English muffins!

You can find us at our online store, local mom & pop shops around the NY Tri-State area, through home delivery services Fresh Direct, Hudson Milk Co., Misfits Market as well as in the freezer section of Whole Foods Markets in NY, NJ & CT.

Position Summary:
The Packager plays a critical role in the final stage of production at Dam Good® English Muffins. This position is responsible for accurately packaging English muffins after cooking, ensuring that every product meets our quality, safety, and brand standards before leaving the bakery. As the final quality checkpoint, the Packager must demonstrate strong attention to detail, consistency, and care in handling finished products.
Packagers are expected to follow established production timelines and quality assurance procedures, comply with all bakery policies and food safety regulations, and maintain a positive, professional, and respectful working relationship with teammates and management. This role reports directly to bakery management. On-the-job training will be provided.
Essential Functions & Requirements:
- Perform all packaging tasks accurately and consistently, ensuring products meet Dam Good® English Muffins’ quality, labeling, and presentation standards.
- Serve as the final quality control checkpoint by identifying and removing any products that do not meet specifications.
- Follow daily production schedules and timelines to support overall bakery workflow.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Keep packaging areas clean, organized, and compliant with bakery and regulatory standards throughout the shift.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and preparedness for all scheduled shifts.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and production management to address issues, questions, or production needs.
- Maintain a non-smoking environment in and around the bakery in accordance with company policy.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
Food Safety
- Follow all food safety, SQF, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Perform repetitive tasks with sustained focus, efficiency, and consistency.
- Maintain a steady, productive pace to support continuous production flow.
- Lift, move, and handle packaged products as required by the role.
- Clean and organize the workstation throughout the shift, including completion of end-of-day cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to maintain strong communication, attendance and punctuality.

Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour, based on experience.
