Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Experienced Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals with precision and creativity, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Your expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of menu items with attention to detail, consistency, and quality, adhering strictly to recipes and portion controls
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food production appliances safely and efficiently
Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and ensuring ingredient availability for high-volume production
Follow all food safety sanitizing procedures to uphold hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination
Handle food with care, demonstrating excellent knife skills and proper food handling techniques
Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals that meet dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines
Collaborate with team members during catering events or large-scale meal preparations to ensure timely service

Qualifications

Proven experience as a cook in fine dining establishments or high-volume food service environments
Strong background in food preparation techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking methods
Extensive knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food production processes
Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus
Excellent knife skills combined with a passion for culinary excellence
Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
