Within the Laboratory—also known as the clinical lab and diagnostic laboratory—the Medical Laboratory Manager will guide a cohesive operation spanning core lab, microbiology, blood bank/transfusion services, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing, all anchored by a highly decorated, independent Critical Access Hospital; as Clinical Laboratory Manager, this multi-award-winning rural healthcare provider environment benefits from a major state-of-the-art facilities expansion and a deep commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care; in the lab setting, the Manager Laboratory Services will champion quality systems, strong turnaround times, stewardship programs, and collaboration with providers to ensure precise, timely results that clinicians trust.

Reporting to the Laboratory Medical Director and the Administrative Director of Ancillary Services, the Medical Laboratory Manager will be supported by experienced lead technologists, a quality coordinator, and an LIS analyst while partnering closely with friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional team across pharmacy, respiratory therapy, imaging, and care management; as Clinical Laboratory Manager, responsibilities include staffing and scheduling, competency and training, CLIA/CMS and state compliance, validation and QA, budget and supply chain oversight, POCT governance, performance improvement, and active participation in committees focused on safety, infection prevention, and data-driven outcomes; the Manager Laboratory Services will also serve as a visible leader who coaches, rounds, and celebrates wins to sustain a high-performance culture.
