JOB SUMMARY

As a Composites Technician at Really Right Stuff, you'll run the pultrusion line that produces carbon fiber tubes used in RRS tripod legs. Our tripods are trusted by the world's top photographers, videographers, and elite military units. This is real hands-on manufacturing craftsmanship. You will set up, run, and troubleshoot precision equipment, ensure the highest quality parts are produced, and grow your skills in the composites industry on a tight-knit production team.

We offer a competitive, market-benchmarked hourly wage of $21.00–$23.00, plus a $2.00/hr differential for night shifts, and a strong benefits package, including:
- A 3-day workweek (3x12 schedule, Tuesday–Thursday) for a built-in four-day weekend every week. Night shift will be 5:00 pm – 5:30 am with a 30-minute lunch (Day shift is 5:00 am – 5:30 pm) .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You'll work on our pultrusion team, setting up, running, and maintaining the machines that produce the carbon fiber tubes at the heart of every RRS tripod leg. Nightly responsibilities will include:
- Set up and calibrate pultrusion machines using detailed checklists and documentation, threading carbon filament and installing tooling with precision.
- Monitor live production runs, catch quality deviations early, and make real-time adjustments to keep the line running smoothly.
- Keep your work area and equipment spotless by preventing resin buildup and cross-contamination, and handling chemicals safely per SOPs and SDS guidance.
- Track and carry out preventative maintenance, restock consumables, and hand off clear and detailed notes to the next shift.
- Maintain quality control records and document machine maintenance events and downtime.
- Occasionally operate ancillary equipment (ovens, mixers, forklifts) and support engineering experiments and data collection.
- As your skills grow you may be cross-trained on CNC production, final assembly, or in other production areas.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Must-Haves:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanically inclined, with comfort using common hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine sense of ownership over quality.
- Clear communicator, both verbal and written.
- Ability to troubleshoot systems and processes on the fly.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Lehi, UT.
Desired Skills:
- 1–2 years of experience with composites manufacturing.
- 1–2 years of experience maintaining industrial machinery.
- Forklift certification.
