At Excel Eye Center, we perform comprehensive eye exams using the most advanced and precise equipment. Our opticians assist ophthalmologists in filling patient’s eyeglasses and contact lens prescriptions. Our staff exhibits the ability to customize a patient’s prescription by educating the patient on available options that will enhance their visual needs optically and cosmetically. Previous optical or medical experience is preferred but not required for the right person.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient with computers
Manage multiple tasks
Comfortable interacting with patients, doctors, staff, and industry representatives
Speak with professionalism, compassion, and confidence
Work under minimal supervision
Operate optical equipment and tools
Motivated and organized
Team player and accountable

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist patients with frame selection
Educate patients on the benefits of lenses
Measure, fit, repair, and adjust frames
Accurately calculate expenses and collect payment
Ensure accuracy of orders and dispense eyeglasses to patients
Answer phones and assist with insurance verification
Inventory management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
