Job Description:

Develops, implements, and evaluates recruitment plans for preceptors, DEU scholars, and adjuncts.
Provides staff education on the roles of mentor and preceptor to nursing students.
Represents the nursing program at meetings and forums to engage potential health care providers and preceptors.
Collaborates with the Vice Chair and executive administrative personnel at healthcare organizations to coordinate the preceptorship program and identify appropriate preceptors.
Liaise with the AHU Contract Manager for legal review, signature, renewal, and retention of all contracts.
Communicates with preceptors and develops, updates, and implements comprehensive orientation materials and information packets for current, new, and prospective preceptors.
Maintains databases of student assignments, preceptors, adjunct faculty, DEU scholars, clinical sites, and site evaluations.
Designs, develops, and delivers high-quality instruction and course materials including syllabi, assessments, and clinical assignments.
Assesses student performance through timely grading, feedback, office hours, clinical, and formal evaluation.
Provides academic support to students through regular communication, individualized assistance, and targeted intervention strategies, including referrals to appropriate support services.
Advises students on academic progression, course planning, and career pathways, while providing mentorship in research, clinical practice, or field-based learning as applicable.
Participates in curriculum development and review, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards, and supports assessment planning.
Develops and evaluates clinical curriculum, assigns students to appropriate clinical sites and labs, provides orientation, and supervises the application of theory to practice in the clinical setting.
Contributes to program accreditation efforts and institutional effectiveness activities.
Identifies and documents student performance or conduct concerns, implements appropriate remediation plans, and follows institutional policies for disciplinary action or dismissal when warranted.
Participates in institutional committees and initiatives and represents the university at professional, community, and recruitment events as needed.
Engages in teaching, service, and scholarly activities while maintaining active membership in professional organizations and pursuing ongoing professional development.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]

Work Experience:

3+ clinical practice [Required]
5+ of clinical teaching experience in a nursing education program [Preferred]

2+ of large-scale clinical or project management experience [Preferred]
