Job Title: Community Director / Senior BCBA (W2 Hourly to Salary Leadership Path)
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour (W2) ➔ Converts to $90,000 - $129,000 W2 Base Salary + Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Flexible Monday–Friday (School Hours, no weekends, no nights)
Location: Orange County, FL (Clinic based in Winter Garden; serving all of Orange County)
About Peak Behavioral Center & The Position:
Founded and operated by a practicing BCBA, Peak Behavioral Center is a locally owned ABA agency that has served Central Florida families for the past 3 years with a physical clinic location in Winter Garden. Because we are clinician-led, we prioritize clinical integrity, reasonable caseloads, and true professional autonomy over corporate red tape.
We currently have approximately 2 active school caseloads established in the region—with our owner strictly acting as an analyst on them at this time—and are seeking an exceptional Community Director / Senior BCBA (3 to 5+ years post-certification required) to step in, take full ownership, and expand our school-based division across all of Orange County.
This role is crafted for an empathetic, sharp clinician with solid operational confidence who thrives on autonomy, moves with speed, and possesses the executive presence to build trust with school administrators, multidisciplinary teams, and families. You will not be managing a pre-packaged template—you will be handed the vision, given complete clinical autonomy, and expected to execute.
You will start on a high-yield W2 Hourly basis during initial setup and convert directly into a full-time $90,000 W2 Salaried Community Director position upon the acquisition of your first full caseload.
Who You Are:
- A Proven Builder: You don't wait for direction or a step-by-step manual. You identify what needs to be done, build the solution, and mobilize people to achieve it.
- A Strategic Connector: You navigate conflict to find opportunity in complex situations, inspiring confidence in principals and ESE staff while mentoring clinical teams with natural authority and diplomacy.
- A High-Accountability Operator: You take personal pride in clinical excellence, operational speed, and client outcomes. You own your metrics and your team's performance.
Candidate Qualification Standard:
- Entry-level BCBAs (1–2 years experience) will not be considered.
- Candidates must hold active or prior credentialing with Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue (BCBS), and TRICARE.
- Candidates must hold a clean BCBA certification with active BACB supervision privileges.
- Candidates must demonstrate a verifiable track record of building, running, or independently expanding school-based ABA programs.
- Candidates must agree to standard non-solicitation protocols regarding company clients, district contacts, and school campus relationships established under Peak Behavioral Center.
The Compensation & Growth Model:
- Immediate Marketing Launch: As soon as a signed offer and commitment to work together is executed, Peak immediately launches targeted client advertising, PIP portal matching, and school outreach for your region to build your caseload during the credentialing and onboarding window.
- Phase 1 (Building Phase - W2 Hourly): $60.00 – $65.00 / hour (W2) on direct assessment, BIP updates, and supervision hours while establishing your initial school team (Target Ramp-Up: 30–60 days). As a W2 employee, you are covered under Peak’s professional liability insurance from day one.
- Fast-Track Skip Option: If a full 7-client caseload is matched and ready by the time your credentialing and school clearance process completes, you skip Phase 1 entirely and start directly in Phase 2 on Day 1.
- Phase 2 (W2 Salary Conversion Trigger): Upon the acquisition of a full 7-client school team caseload (~210–245 total clinical hours, averaging 25 billable BCBA supervision/assessment hours per week) and upon clearing the 7th client's initial claim, you automatically convert to a $90,000 W2 Annual Base Salary as Community Director.
- Phase 3 (Geographically Clustered Growth - Scaling to Additional Caseloads): Receive a $6,500 base salary increase for each additional full caseload added and maintained at the 7-client / 25-hour weekly benchmark ($96.5k, $103k, $109.5k, up to $129k+). To keep drive time minimal and workload manageable, expansion in Phase 3 is strategically engineered using geographic clustering—grouping schools and client caseloads in tight regional zones across Orange County. Note: The 2 existing school caseloads currently managed by the owner do not count toward these tiers. Salary tiers are tied directly to active caseload volume; if managed caseload volume decreases below a tier threshold, base compensation adjusts accordingly until volume is restored. The target objective for Phase 3 is to scale and maintain 6 additional full caseloads across Orange County beyond our current footprint, at which point executive leadership will conduct a dedicated review for further organizational growth and leadership expansion opportunities.
