Full Job Description

Zoecklein Law P.A. is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly organized Florida Guardianship Paralegal to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling guardianship matters from inception through conclusion, possess exceptional attention to detail, and provide outstanding client service to families navigating sensitive legal matters.

This position requires someone who can work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and provide proactive support to attorneys while ensuring an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and draft guardianship pleadings, petitions, inventories, plans, annual accountings, reports, and other court filings.
Manage guardianship cases from opening through closing while ensuring all statutory deadlines are met.
Maintain communication with clients, guardians, family members, physicians, court personnel, and other professionals.
Prepare attorneys for hearings by organizing exhibits, evidence, and case materials.
Coordinate medical evaluations, required documentation, and court appointments.
Monitor court dockets and track filing deadlines.
Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files.
Conduct legal research as needed.
Provide exceptional customer service while assisting clients through often emotional and complex legal matters.
Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Florida guardianship paralegal experience (required).
Thorough understanding of Florida guardianship procedures, court rules, and filing requirements.
Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding client service and interpersonal skills.
Professional phone etiquette.
Ability to prioritize multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
