About the Position

Premier Recreation Equipment LLC is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team in Orlando, FL.

The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimating, reviewing plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, obtaining vendor and subcontractor pricing, and preparing accurate proposals and bids.

This position plays an important role in our preconstruction and bidding process. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for reviewing project opportunities from initial bid documents through proposal submission, while coordinating with manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, customers, and our internal team to ensure each estimate is complete and accurate.

Key Responsibilities

Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, addenda, and other bid documents.
Perform quantity takeoffs and determine materials, equipment, labor, and installation requirements.
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
Request, obtain, and review pricing from manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Compare pricing and verify that quotes meet project specifications and scope requirements.
Prepare professional proposals, quotations, bid packages, and estimate revisions.
Review project scopes and identify exclusions, clarifications, discrepancies, and potential additional costs.
Track active bids, deadlines, addenda, revisions, and upcoming project opportunities.
Follow up on submitted proposals and provide revisions or additional information when requested.
Assist with product substitutions and value-engineering options when required.
Maintain organized records of estimates, vendor quotes, subcontractor pricing, proposals, revisions, and project documentation.
Coordinate with purchasing, project management, operations, and other internal team members after project award.
Communicate with general contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and other project contacts as necessary.
Assist in maintaining and updating estimating databases, pricing information, and vendor/subcontractor resources.
Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines simultaneously.

Qualifications

Previous experience in construction estimating is strongly preferred.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, details, and scopes of work.
Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing estimates, bids, or proposals.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and potential cost impacts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent English is required, as English is the primary language used for proposals, emails, vendor communication, and day-to-day business operations.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Comfortable communicating with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general office software.
Experience with construction bidding platforms and takeoff/estimating software is a plus.
Experience estimating commercial construction, site amenities, recreational facilities, landscaping-related scopes, or similar specialty construction is a plus.

Compensation & Schedule

$25.00 per hour
Performance-Based Bonus Opportunities

Our projects include playgrounds, artificial turf, safety surfacing, sport courts, site furnishings, shade structures, dog park equipment, bike racks, outdoor amenities, and related installation services.

We work with general contractors, developers, property managers, HOAs, municipalities, schools, and other organizations on projects ranging from small amenity installations to large commercial developments.
