Job description

Senior Tax Accountant (CPA required) Opportunity with Work-Life Balance, Incredible Client Base, and Creative Projects.

We are a well-established CPA firm in Orlando, FL that specializes in Tax and Accounting services for small to medium sized businesses. Services include Tax Planning, Monthly Bookkeeping, Payroll Processing, Personal and Business Federal and State Tax Returns, and more. We are not a firm that tracks every minute or bills by the hour. Instead, we operate on a value-based pricing model, allowing team members the freedom to work on their projects to completion within reasonable limits, focusing on quality and satisfaction rather than time tracking. The ideal candidate is someone who likes numbers and puzzles, someone who is organized, eager to learn, and does not need to be micro-managed. Must have experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns. The role assumes several years of experience in Tax and Accounting Services with the ability to conduct complex tax research and planning. Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to get along with others as there will be interaction with clients, peers, and other professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare Individual, Partnership and Corporation Tax Returns and more
Prepare and assist with tax research and planning.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports (Balance Sheet and Income)
Quantify and document federal and state income tax liabilities for tax returns, extensions and estimated payments.
Maintain strong client relations
Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively
Strive for a Solutions Oriented Approach
Participate in Assigned Special Projects

Skills:

Knowledge of Tax Preparation Software
Knowledge of QuickBooks/QuickBooks Online
Tax and Accounting Research
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Be able to demonstrate attention to details and good-record-keeping
Can collaborate with peers

Requirements:

Tax Preparation (Business/Individual) and Accounting Experience is REQUIRED
CPA License or ability to obtain
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting obtained in the United States (3.5 GPA or higher)
