We are currently seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to schedule caregivers to serve our older adult clients in their home setting. Joyful Companions Home Care clients are rediscovering quality of life with the help of our wonderful caregivers.

Our service offers a solution for seniors who are able and prefer to remain at home by receiving excellent companion care with love and grace. Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Scheduling Coordinator for Senior Home Care to join our compassionate team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication, and a thorough understanding of scheduling processes. In this role, you will coordinate appointments, manage caregiver schedules, and ensure seamless communication between clients, families, and caregivers. We are looking for a person with a genuine heart for seniors, with a passion for serving families in need.

The ideal candidate's personality will incorporate an energetic self-starter, friendly disposition and a “can do” attitude, compassionate, motivated character in order to meet our client’s staffing needs in a timely manner. We look for strong problem-solving skills, willingness to work on a team, and an ability to adjust in changing situations. Your efforts will directly contribute to delivering exceptional home care services tailored to our clients’ home care needs to remain independent.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule home care for senior clients, ensuring optimal caregiver coverage and timely service.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling records within electronic scheduling systems.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and providers to confirm appointments and address scheduling conflicts.
Review documentation, care plans, and service notes to ensure proper scheduling aligned with client needs and provider availability.
Utilize computer skills, including Microsoft Office and specialized EHR systems to manage documentation review, appointment updates, and reporting.
Handle phone etiquette professionally while managing multi-line phone systems for appointment inquiries and administrative support.
Assist with insurance verification, intake procedures, and maintaining client information confidentiality.
Support office team tasks such as filing records, maintaining schedules, and coordinating fun caregiver engagement activities.
On-call support evenings and weekends, as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in scheduling within a healthcare or senior care setting; familiarity with clinic office experience is appreciated.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook for administrative tasks.
Strong customer service orientation coupled with professional phone etiquette and clerical experience.
