Full Job Description

The World's Best Cheeses, one of America's leading specialty food importers, is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. We're looking for someone detail-oriented, well-organized, and highly comfortable in Excel, who can handle day-to-day AP work.

Knowledge of cheese is not required, but if you have a love of interesting food, you'll find the role even more enjoyable — our office regularly snacks its way through new products throughout the day.

What You'll Do

Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system accurately.
Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile statements, and resolve billing discrepancies.
Confirm promotional discounts are applied correctly.
Support internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
Handle related administrative work, including data entry and filing.

What You Bring

Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP is preferred.
2–5 years of experience in a payables role.
Experience with Acumatica or a similar cloud-based ERP system is a plus, but not required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Comfortable handling both administrative and accounting-focused tasks.
Able to work independently when needed.

Schedule & Benefits

Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm; Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm.

Location

Our office is in a modern office park in Armonk, NY. Note: Armonk is not accessible by train, so reliable transportation (a car) is required to get to and from the office.
