Project Executive
Sea View Builders, a high-end residential builder based in Osterville, Massachusetts, is seeking an experienced Project Executive to provide senior leadership across multiple architect-driven new construction and large-scale renovation projects throughout Cape Cod.
The Project Executive will oversee Project Managers and site teams, maintain high-level relationships with homeowners and architects, and ensure projects meet Sea View Builders’ standards for quality, schedule, financial performance and client service. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with extensive experience managing complex custom residential construction.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight across multiple residential construction projects
- Lead and support Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Site Supervisors
- Establish project strategies, schedules, budgets and key milestones
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, estimates and contract requirements
- Participate in preconstruction planning, budgeting, subcontractor selection and procurement
- Monitor project costs, profitability, cash flow, allowances and change orders
- Review project schedules and address risks, delays and long-lead procurement issues
- Maintain senior-level communication with homeowners, architects and design teams
- Lead or participate in key client and project meetings
- Help resolve complex construction, contractual and client-related issues
- Ensure project teams maintain accurate documentation, reporting and financial controls
- Oversee subcontractor performance, quality standards and safety compliance
- Coordinate with company leadership on staffing, workload and project priorities
- Mentor Project Managers and support the development of junior team members
- Improve project-management systems, processes and accountability
- Oversee substantial completion, closeout, final reconciliation and warranty coordination
- Support companywide planning, operational improvements and growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of construction project management experience
- Significant experience managing high-end custom residential construction
- Demonstrated success overseeing multiple complex projects and project teams
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, contracts and project controls
- Experience working directly with homeowners, architects, designers, subcontractors and vendors
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and construction-management software
- Experience with Buildertrend and Bluebeam preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Unrestricted Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License preferred
Compensation
Salary range of $175,000 to $225,000, based on experience, plus performance bonus and benefits.
Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.
This is a full-time, in-person position based in Osterville. Candidates currently living on Cape Cod are preferred, but consideration will be given to qualified candidates who are open to relocating.
