Full Job Description

Empire Dermatology is excited to announce that our Fulton office will be relocating to a new location in Clay, NY in October 2026!

Imperium Healthcare Consulting is seeking a Medical Scheduler to support Empire Dermatology at our new Clay office.

In this role, you will be part of our scheduling team while working directly with Empire Dermatology patients to ensure a smooth and positive scheduling experience. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to providing an excellent patient experience.

This is a full-time position the expected hours of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM and Wednesday 8:15 - 4:45PM. Enjoy a consistent schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Pay starts at $18/hour.

The training period for this position is expected to begin in mid-to-late September at our East Syracuse office, with an anticipated transition to our new Clay office in October or November.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service to Empire Dermatology patients
Schedule patient appointments and procedures with accuracy and attention to detail
Manage a high-volume, multi-line phone system (up to 60+ calls daily)
Answer patient questions and route inquiries appropriately
Collaborate with both Imperium Healthcare Consulting and Empire Dermatology team members in a supportive, fast-paced environment

You May Also Be Asked To Help Support:

Opening and closing the office, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Greet patients, verify and update their information, and efficiently check them in.
Manage electronic health records (EHR), patient portals, and insurance information.
Collect payments, perform insurance eligibility checks, and prepare patient charts.
Distribute reports, send referrals, and maintain accurate filing of closed encounters.
Perform other duties as assigned to support smooth office operations.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required
Prior customer service experience preferred (healthcare experience a plus)
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented approach
