Full Job Description

Pay: $23.00-$25.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Location: Overland Park, KS

Are you passionate about helping people find meaningful employment while building strong relationships with candidates and clients Penmac Staffing is seeking an energetic and organized Recruiter to join our Overland Park team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is motivated by helping businesses find quality talent.

Requirements for the Recruiter

High school diploma or GED
At least one year of recruiting, staffing, sales, customer service, or related experience
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and job openings simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to make outbound recruiting calls and maintain consistent candidate follow-up

Preferred qualifications include staffing industry experience, Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience, knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices, and experience recruiting for manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, administrative, or skilled trades positions.

Recruiter Responsibilities

Source qualified candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and community outreach
Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates
Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews
Match candidates with open positions based on skills, experience, and customer requirements
Build and maintain a pipeline of active and passive candidates
Coordinate interviews, orientations, and customer site tours
Prepare candidates for interviews and provide coaching throughout the hiring process
Maintain regular communication with candidates and working associates
Partner with customers and branch leadership to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities
Maintain accurate records within the ATS and recruiting systems
Attend hiring events, job fairs, and community recruiting activities
Support associate retention through regular follow-up and engagement
