About the Role

Dizgo Collective is looking for someone to work directly alongside our Chief Operating Officer as her right hand, the same way a Chief of Staff supports a CEO. This is a single role covering three ongoing areas of the business: vendor and partner operations, day-to-day compliance and production tracking (METRC), and building out our library of standard operating procedures. The goal of this role is to free up our COO to spend her time on the big-picture operational strategy that actually grows our business, by taking full ownership of various operational responsibilities that she currently spends time on each week.

Thick-skinned and unflappable: You can keep pace with a fast-moving, high-intensity leader without taking things personally, and without adding drama of your own to a busy day-to-day.
A true multitasker: You're comfortable holding 10 or more things at once and would be energized by that (instead of overwhelmed). If you need to finish one task before starting the next, this role will not work for you.
Organized by instinct: You build lists and work through them without being told to. You bring order to situations that feel chaotic to everyone else.
A sharp, calm thinker: You can serve as a sounding board on a hard problem (even without knowing the answer yourself), and can help talk things through to resolution.
Discreet and trustworthy: You show discretion and judgement in sensitive situations
Compassionate, but not easily pulled off track: Parts of this role touch people and HR-adjacent situations. You can hold empathy and focus at the same time.
Comfortable with software, and genuinely willing to learn more: You should be confident in Microsoft Office and Excel today. Comfort with METRC (Minnesota's state cannabis tracking system) is a strong plus. If you don't have it yet, you should be excited to learn it fast, as it is a core daily part of this job.

The right fit matters more than a specific resume. We are far more interested in finding someone with the temperament and work ethic above than someone who checks every technical box. No cannabis industry background is required.

What You'll Own

1. Vendor & Partner Operations

Own the full lifecycle of our remediation and manufacturing customers after the initial deal is made: contracts, scheduling, and coordinating lab testing and product fulfillment.
Manage receiving, inventory placement, and storage for partner products moving through our facility.
Handle invoicing and accounts receivable for these partner relationships.
Bring order to a genuinely complex process: our partners each use different labs and transporters, this role brings structure and stability to the situation.

2. Production Compliance & METRC Tracking

Keep our state-mandated tracking system (METRC) current on a daily basis for post-production activity. Enter & release product as it moves from testing towards sales-ready inventory.
Manage the full release workflow: getting product ready for lab testing, and once results are back, moving it through the two-stage release process.
Own daily METRC updates to ensure daily compliance with Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management standards.

3. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Write clear, specific SOPs for our equipment and processes, covering things like machine-specific operating steps, incoming product handling and storage, and cross-contamination prevention.
Train the team on new and existing SOPs. Once we’ve validated a written procedure, you'll also teach it, confirm the team is following it, and feed improvements back in as processes evolve.

Nice to Have, But Not Required

Prior experience with METRC or a similar state cannabis tracking system
Experience in a fast-paced production, manufacturing, or startup environment
Prior experience supporting an executive directly

Compensation

This role is being benchmarked against current Minnesota executive assistant and chief-of-staff-type roles. Given this role does not require prior specialized experience and we are prioritizing the right person over a finished resume. We expect a starting compensation of around $20-$25 per hour, negotiable based on experience, with room to grow as scope and tenure increase.

Final compensation to be confirmed by leadership.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
