Full Job Description

Sharp Tooling Solutions is a leading full-service supplier for the aerospace, automotive, and defense industries, specializing in the design and construction of checking fixtures and tooling. We are an AS9100 accredited organization interrelated with Sharp Tooling Solutions System (STS OPS), a foundation of culture-focused employees who value teamwork, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Our team is known for its dedication, creativity, and commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking to fill a full-time Fitter/Welder position in our Romeo facility for 1st shift.

General Description

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedure specifications.
Fit, assemble, and weld parts to form complex structures and components.
Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) safely and efficiently.
Verify dimensions, tolerances, and quality of finished components using precision measuring instruments.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication challenges.
Ensure all work meets company quality standards and industry regulations.
Learn how to maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communication of actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Be capable of being certified to GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW to industry standards
Proven experience as a fitter and welder in a manufacturing or tooling environment.
Strong ability to read and work from complex blueprints and schematics.
Experience with layout, fitting, and fabrication of precision components.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and team-oriented mindset.
Ability to navigate Catia software is a plus

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or a combination of relevant Fixture work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or processing preferred.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, it is required that the candidate must be a “US Person” as defined by 22.C.F.R. §.

Pay Rate and Benefits

Pay Rate dependent on qualifications
