Overview
Join our dynamic pet care team as a Dog Groomer or bather and Animal Care Specialist, where your passion for animals and dedication to their well-being will shine. In this energetic role, you will provide expert grooming services, ensure the health and safety of our furry clients, and deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners. Your enthusiasm for animal handling and grooming will help create a positive experience for every pet and owner who walks through our doors. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to combine your skills in pet grooming, animal care, and customer interaction in a lively, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping for dogs of all breeds and sizes
Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming sessions and routine procedures
Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization skills
Provide pet care support by feeding, exercising, and monitoring animals’ health status as needed
Restrain animals safely using appropriate techniques to facilitate grooming or veterinary procedures
Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and ensure all tools are sanitized according to health standards
Offer exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming needs, health concerns, and aftercare instructions
Support veterinary team members with basic animal handling tasks if required, including kennel management or light veterinary assistance
Assist with pet sitting or boarding duties during busy periods, ensuring animals are well cared for and comfortable
Engage in heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with larger animals in a safe manner

Experience

Previous experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred
Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a strong plus
Background working with veterinary technicians or assistants enhances your ability to provide comprehensive animal care
Experience with animal restraint techniques ensures safety for both pets and staff during procedures
Kennel or pet sitting experience demonstrates your ability to manage multiple animals responsibly
Strong customer service skills are essential for building trust with pet owners and providing excellent support
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing, walking, or bending is required to succeed in this energetic role
