Poppy Store is a luxe baby and childrenswear boutique with outposts in Northern and Southern California, along with an e-commerce site. The Poppy brand represents classic style, with a nod to European ease and urban functionality. From everyday essentials to playful partywear, Poppy exhibits an expertly curated collection of the best international brands in pint-sized fashions.

The Keyholder is a key employee in operating a successful Poppy Store business. A Keyholder is responsible for serving customers and accurately recording all sales, assisting with merchandising responsibilities, and keeping the store neat, clean, and organized. The Keyholder supports a profitable business through successful floor supervision and is capable of opening and closing shop responsibilities. The Keyholder reports to the Store Manager.

Customer Services

Ability to clientele and understand the customer needs
Possess the capacity to learn about the finest details of our product range
Able to suggestively sell
Always acts in the best interest of the poppy customer

General

Arrive on time and floor ready
Contribute to a healthy work environment
Professional in-person and phone presence when communicating with clients
Ability to provide constructive feedback to management
Respond well to feedback from management and follow directives
Able to identify a problem and properly report it
Prioritize workload to maximize efficiency and minimize the impact on customer experience
Ability to think creatively in business and seek sales opportunities
Restocking the sales floor when needed
Assist in tagging new merchandise
Able to receive and process merchandise as needed
Able to handle transfers and return to vendors as needed
Able to open and close a store

Qualifications / Skills

Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and the upcoming holiday season
1+ years of retail experience preferred
Strong verbal and written skills, effective communicator
Ability to perform effective selling techniques to achieve a sale and repeat business
Basic computer skills
Physical requirements: lift/carry/move 40lbs. minimum, including fixtures and product

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
