Full Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

· Collaborate with senior engineers to develop design concepts, plans, and specifications for site/civil land engineering projects.

· Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather data necessary for project planning and design.

· Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, and technical reports.

· Perform take-offs and cost estimates for materials and labor.

· Utilize engineering software and tools for analysis and design tasks.

· Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clients.

· Assist in construction oversight, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

· Stay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to contribute innovative solutions to projects.

Education and/or Experience:

· At least three (3) years of experience working in civil engineering.

· Experience in land development is a plus.

· Bachelor’s degree with a focus on civil engineering is preferred.

· To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.

· Experience with or ability to learn HydroCAD stormwater modeling software.

Licenses and Designations:

· EIT certification with ability to become a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

· This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

· This is largely a sedentary role but would require the ability to move up to 25 pounds at times.

· This role operates in an office environment and is required to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

· This role may be required to work extended hours to meet the needs of the business.
