Schedule Details/Additional Information:

This role covers two hospital sites Condell Medical Center and Good Shepherd Hospital- 801 S Milwaukee Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048 & 450 W Highway 22, Barrington, IL 60010
Hybrid position: 2-3 days a week in office and the rest from home.

How You’ll Contribute:

Lead day-to-day Medical Staff Services operations, including credentialing, peer review, meeting management, and provider relations.
Oversee appointment, reappointment, credentialing, and privileging processes to ensure compliance with bylaws, policies, and regulatory standards.
Serve as the subject matter expert on credentialing, privileging, medical staff bylaws, and governance requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain medical staff policies, procedures, workflows, forms, and standards of practice.
Support Medical Staff professionalism initiatives, including wellness, corrective action, and fair hearing processes.
Prepare and present credentialing, privileging, and compliance reports to medical staff leadership, governing councils, and boards.
Manage department staff and operations, including hiring, performance management, coaching, workforce planning, and ensuring adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.

What We Are Looking For:

Credentialing Specialist, Certified Provider (CPCS) issued by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS), or
Medical Services Management, Certified Professional (CPMSM) issued by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS).
If not certified, expectation is to certify within 3 years of employment depending on medical staff services experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or related field.
Typically requires 3 years of experience in medical staff services, credentialing, physician relations, regulatory, with experience as a lead or senior level staff.
