Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Supervisor: Executive Director

Classification: Full-time Salaried Ministry Position.

Ministry Overview: Rodeheaver Boys Ranch is a faith-based, community-centered organization that has been providing a safe and nurturing home for at-risk boys since 1950. Situated on 800 acres of pristine land along the St. Johns River in Palatka, Florida, the Ranch offers a structured, supportive environment where school-age boys can grow, thrive, and develop into men of character. We serve boys who are emotionally and mentally sound but need stability, guidance, and care to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Our mission is to instill positive values, build integrity, and equip young men with the skills they need to succeed, all within a loving Christian environment. Through the dedication of our caring staff and volunteers, we foster a sense of family, responsibility, and purpose that prepares these young men to lead meaningful, faith-filled lives.

Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant at Rodeheaver Boys Ranch supports the mission of the Ranch mainly through assisting the Executive Director in administrative duties. He/she will be a welcoming presence on the phones and in the Administration Building as well as maintain prescribed files and records. The successful candidate must be a professing and practicing Christian and ministry-minded.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Overall, be the most helpful person you can be.
Answer incoming phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate person or voicemail.
Greet everyone who comes in the front door and determine how we can help them.
Notify office staff when someone is there to see them before allowing them to come back.
Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages.
Maintain all employee files according to RBR and FACCCA standards.
Assist the Executive Director and Program Director with the annual FACCCA inspection protocol and files.
Maintain a clean and professional entry area and clean the Administration Building once per week, including bathrooms.
Maintain the schedule for lodge use and ensure that lodge rooms are cleaned.
Complete other tasks as directed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong organizational skills.
Friendly and outgoing..
Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external partners.
Proficiency in the use of common office equipment and software, such as copiers, computers, and Microsoft/Google Documents.

Education and Experience:

A High School diploma is required.

Physical Requirements:

Some physical ability for light lifting is necessary.

Work Environment:

The primary workspace is the Administration Building.
The work schedule is generally Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. However, other times may be necessary for certain events and activities.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
