Full Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Individual to join our team. The selected individual will demonstrate full understanding of the accounts payable/receivable process, including sales orders, purchase orders invoicing, payment applications, credit/return resolution, and processing of client RMAs (return material authorization), collections and aging management, and client statement reconciliations.

Responsibilities: Accounts Payable - A/P

Process purchase orders and accounts payable invoices, ensuring accurate coding, proper authorization, and adherence to company policies and procedures
Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
Prepare and process weekly check runs or electronic payments
Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals
Work closely with the Accounts Receivable team to resolve any billing or payment issues
Monitor the Accounting and Accounts Payable emails for incoming invoices and queries.

Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable - A/R

Responsible for the maintaining the AR function and able to back up the current AR Staff member
Ability to work with Inter-Company
Daily and monthly reconciliation of shipment activity in the company’s
Daily payment application of client payments,
Must be able to access customer websites for payment and account information.
Develop and maintain client contact lists for invoicing and collection activity Develop client relationships, resolving invoicing issues
Process client returns and credits.
Prepare monthly A/R aging report with status, action plans, and proposed adjustments.
Monthly closing and reporting of A/R.
Daily cash reporting and reconciliations.
Must be able to collaboratively problem solve with Sales, Warehouse, Order
Management, and Finance team members.
Monitor the Accounting email for customer’s queries and remittance details.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, GAAP
Proficiency in using accounting software and other Microsoft products.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping -
SAGE 100 Cloud based Accounting Software a PLUS -
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively -
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
Manufacturing or warehouse industry experience (not required but preferred)
