Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in accounting, tax law, and financial analysis to support a wide range of client needs, from corporate accounting and regulatory compliance to estate planning and financial reporting. We work with local, small business owners.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts. Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, 1041
Conduct detailed financial statement review and management of junior bookkeepers
Analyze financial data for local business owners
Reconcile general ledger accounts, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and maintain accurate bookkeeping records using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms
Assist clients with tax reporting, tax compliance strategies, and tax law updates to optimize their financial positions
Collaborate with clients on financial sales initiatives, budgeting processes, and financial report writing to enhance decision-making

Requirements

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required; additional certifications such as estate planning or securities law are a plus
Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments with a strong foundation in accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping and technical accounting standards
Proven expertise in tax experience including tax return preparation, tax reporting, tax law updates, and regulatory compliance accounting
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks
Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial concepts and prepare detailed financial reports
Strong client communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally
Experience in auditing, financial analysis, account reconciliation, or budgeting is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment
